The UK's leading beverage research company, Canadean have been a close customer of ours for the last 2 and a half years. We work with them on all aspects of their online communications from web design and development to PPC to copywriting.
The Brief
Our original brief with Canadean was to work alongside Bloom Design to apply their newly created brand identity to a rebuild of their commerce website. Since then we have been very much their partner, working with them in a range of roles to help them get extra value from their online activities.
Our Solution
Canadean's is a complex website with hundreds of products and an extremely intricate administration system. The site also acts as a portal for users into their online subscription research products which display drinks data in Executive Viewer and Reporting Services.
When presented with the task of creating the site in line with the new brand positioning we recognised the need to significantly improve the user experience for new visitors, clients and the administrators.
The content has been expanded but organised much more efficiently and optimised for search engines. A bespoke newsfeed has been integrated for long tail traffic with relevant products and services matched. Ongoing conversion analysis has helped us continue to evolve the site to drive purchases in the site and calls to their sales staff.
Result
In the last two years page views on the site have gone up by 155% and new visits by 105%
Search engines now account for over 50% of all traffic to the site, a huge increase of 280%. The visits are being triggered by over 2500 different keywords each month.
Referral sites have also increased by over 70%.
